Experience

Mr. Iwata joined OpenTech as a consultant specialized in open systems and MIS systems in 1993. He has over 24 years of experience in software engineering R&D and MIS application development.

He has been working as a director since September 2001.

At OpenTech

• Directed enterprise business systems projects.
• Managed and designed UNIX based embedded systems and application systems.
• Designed Java based UML model editor.
• Designed Java byte-code compiler.
• Consulted and developed client/server systems and year 2000 problem solutions on UNIX.
• Consulted and developed client/server systems, database systems(ORACLE and others), and systems software including TCP/IP stacks and a Java byte code compiler.
• Localized software packages for the Japanese environment on the Windows NT platform.
• Consulted office desktop computing and networking for a national R&D organization.

Prior to joining OpenTech

• Consulted and developed an ERP system for IPO of Software Research Associates, Inc.(SRA)
• Worked as an MIS manager and chief system engineer of R&D at SRA.
• Developed and consulted financial programs including management system programs, reviewing accounting software, and purchase/sale/inventory management programs.

Education

• Is enrolled in the Distance Education Division of Sanno University (Kanagawa, Japan) and is working for a B.A. in management and informatics degree.
• Holds a diploma from Sundai Computer College (Tokyo, Japan)
• Majored in English literature at Aoyama Gakuin University (Tokyo, Japan)
