Qualifications Common:
  • Must have a personal computer of your own. E-mail and Internet(WWW) skills are required.
  • UNIX(include Linux, *BSD) OS experience is preferred.
  • Any nationality or gender is acceptable.
  • Good Japanese communications (technical and business) skills are required.
  • An adequate level technical Japanese and English comprehension skills are a must.

People with prior experience:
  • age:28 - 42 years old
  • No formal education in computer science is required.
  • Must have experience in programing in at least one of the following languages: C, C++,Java
  • Must have experience in development on at least one of the following platforms:
    • UNIX(include Linux, *BSD)
    • Minicomputer(DEC, DG, Prime, etc.)
    • MacOS
    • Windows*
  • Experience in any of the following areas is preferred but not required:
    • Project management for software development or IT related fields
    • Kernel development
    • Device driver development
    • Compiler development
    • Network protocols
    • RDBMS(Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Sybase, Informix) and OODB

Students:
  • age:22 - 31 years old
  • We are accepting applications from those who graduated in year 2009 or who expect to graduate in year 2010. An applicant can be a graduate or an undergraduate.
  • The following majors are preferable but not required:
    • Computer science
    • Software engineering
    • Computer theory
    • Any other engineering major which involves extensive computer use
    • Any other major which is related to computer, networking and software fields
  • Preferred C, C++ or Java programming experience. Object Oriented Design, UML, Distributed Computing, Java, XML, Mobile Computing, Appliance Computing.
  • Interest in the following topics is preferable but not required: Linux, *BSD, GNU, Open Sources Software.
  • We also hire night school and graduate school students on a part-time basis.
  • We also welcome applications from those who quit school on a case-by-case basis.
Work place Mostly you will be expected to work in our office in Tokyo. A software engineer may telecommute.
Working hours You can set your own working time schedule. However, a support staff(i.e., technical support engineers (#4) and professional service engineers(#3)) are expected to be in the office between 10:30 am to 6:30 pm.
Pay We introduce the annual salary system.
  • Open to negotiation depending upon your experience, ability and former pay (yearly contract renewal).
